Improvements to TSE Listing System
Survey on TSE's Listing Rules and Systems for Investors
Tokyo Stock Exchange conducted a survey to gather opinions from investors on TSE's listing rules and systems through a questionnaire during the period from August 20, 2010 to October 15, 2010. This survey was aimed at collecting evaluations of recently-implemented measures as well as identifying issues and problems so as to further enhance the overall listing rules and systems.
The "Summary of Responses to the Questionnaire on TSE's Listing Rules and Systems for Investors" is English translation of the consolidated results of the survey mentioned above.

Following the announcement of "Listing System Improvement FY2008" mentioned above, the Tokyo Stock Exchange conducted hearings of investors and invitation of public opinions both concerning corporate governance of Japanese companies in order to grasp issues and tasks related thereto.
On July 22, 2008, the Tokyo Stock Exchange held a hearing on M&A rules focusing on takeover defense measures.

Further, believing that matters relating to M&A's are issues we must promptly tackle as a market establishing body against the backdrop of growing concern over the recent increase of takeover measures, the TSE has had individual meetings with each investor in addition to the above mentioned hearings and questionnaire, and we have put together those results in the report of "Outline of Investor Opinions concerning the Current State Surrounding M&A" published on August 26, 2008.
