Tokyo Stock Exchange ("TSE") has shortened the public comment window due to the following reason:
To aid the recovery of companies affected by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, TSE recognizes the need to put the provisions into force as soon as possible, as it did in the event of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake.
As such, the window for public comment will close at 17:00 on May 26, 2016.
The provisions will be introduced in the listing regulations to allow for the flexible treatment of listed company compliance and initial listings of companies that have business operations impaired by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, which has affected the area since April 14.
