Terms and Conditions of Membership

Article 1: General Rules

  1. JPX Weekly News is a service provided by Japan Exchange Group , Inc. (JPX) to raise interest and deepen the public's understanding of Japan's securities market to contribute to its sound development, by delivering information on market conditions and news concerning the exchange (collectively "the newsletter content") via an e-mail newsletter to members.
  2. JPX Weekly News is produced and delivered by JPX.
  3. These terms and conditions apply to JPX Weekly News, the content of which can be changed at any time by JPX without members' consent.
  4. The newsletter is provided to members for the aims stated in Article 1, Paragraph 1 and is not intended as investment advice.
 

Article 2: Membership

  1. Members are persons who, having consented to these terms and conditions, have completed the necessary subscription procedures stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 2 and 3, and whose membership registration is approved by JPX.
  2. A person or entity wishing to become a member subscribes by providing the necessary information on the prescribed application webpage. However, when deemed necessary by JPX, subscription applications may be submitted in writing.
  3. JPX sends notices of membership approval, as stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 1, by e-mail. However, when deemed necessary, JPX may employ other methods to send such notices.
  4. Membership rights may not be transferred to a third party.
 

Article 3: Fees

  1. No admission or membership fees are charged for the newsletter content.
  2. Any communication or Internet expenses for receiving the newsletter, any transportation fees for participation in seminars, and any other expenses incurred will be borne by the member.
 

Article 4: Notice of Change in Personal Details

In cases where the personal details of a member's registration change, the member shall send those changes to JPX by providing them electronically via the prescribed webpage.

 

Article 5: Notice of Membership Withdrawal

When a member wishes to be removed from the mailing list, the member shall send notice of membership withdrawal to JPX by entering the request on the prescribed webpage.

 

Article 6: Revoking Membership Rights

  1. When the newsletter cannot be delivered to the e-mail address provided by a member, when it becomes known that a member provided false information in the membership application, when a member is found to have violated these terms and conditions, and in any other cases deemed necessary by JPX, JPX may revoke the member's membership rights without notice.
  2. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by a member or third party through revocation of membership rights.
 

Article 7: Newsletter

  1. JPX will send the newsletter content to members.
  2. The newsletter content as stipulated above will, in principle, be sent via e-mail. However, when deemed necessary, JPX may change the method of provision.
  3. JPX may provide passwords to members for use in applying for participation in seminars or other purposes.
  4. Showing, lending, or distributing the password mentioned above to a third party is strictly prohibited.
  5. Members shall abide by law in the use of the newsletter content.
  6. The copyright to the newsletter content belongs to JPX. Members may not reproduce, retransmit, send, distribute, display, correct, or through any other means provide all or part of the newsletter content to a third party without the prior permission of JPX.
  7. JPX may cancel the newsletter without notice.
  8. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by a member or third party through cancellation of the newsletter, as mentioned above, or change in the method of providing the newsletter content, as mentioned in Article 7, Paragraph 2.
 

Article 8: Disclaimer

  1. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by a member or third party arising from delayed delivery or inability to deliver the newsletter content as a result of server, network, or system failure, power failure, natural disaster, maintenance work, or any other reason.
  2. Due to human, mechanical, or other errors, inaccuracies may exist in the newsletter content. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any decisions made by the member due to the use of the newsletter content.
  3. The newsletter content is current to the day it was prepared and may change without notice. The newsletter content may not be suitable for use by all members, and members should exercise discretion when using the newsletter content.
  4. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by members as a result of their use of the newsletter content.
  5. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by other members or a third party as a result of the use of the newsletter content by a member. Furthermore, the member will bear the responsibility and costs for such damages and losses.
  6. Article 8, Paragraph 2 will apply even if the newsletter content contains errors or omissions.
  7. Members are fully and solely responsible for the management and use of passwords provided. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by a member or third party resulting from errors through the use of the password by the member or a third party.
  8. JPX may end JPX Weekly News operations at any time without notice. JPX will not accept any responsibility for any damages or losses suffered by a member or third party as a result of ending JPX Weekly News operations.
 

Article 9: Jurisdiction

When the necessity for a lawsuit arises between a member and JPX, the lawsuit will first be filed with the court that holds jurisdiction over the area in which JPX's main office is located.
