The Annual Summer Economics Lectures for Parents and Children were held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya with over 1,100 parents and children in attendance.
The lectures were a huge success. In Tokyo, visits to TSE and the BOJ garnered interest among participants as usual. Children enthusiastically traded stocks of made-up companies and reacted to stock price fluctuations in a board game as well as a card game, which was held for the first time this year. The game allows two players to compete to increase their assets in simulated economic events.
In Osaka, visitors used tablets to enjoy mock stock trading and joined tours of OSE to learn about stock companies and the history of OSE.

TSE concluded a basic agreement with the Hiroshima Bank, Ltd. for cooperative relationships concerning the capital market. This is the first time TSE and a regional financial institution in the Chugoku region will work together for regional economic development.
The central goals are to promote listings for companies in the region that aim to list on TSE and help develop investment mindsets for new investors such as by hosting financial lectures or other events for investors to raise overall financial literacy.
TSE will cooperate with the Hiroshima Bank in accelerating the growth of companies in the Chugoku region and contribute to further revitalizing and developing the economy.
