Dec. 21, 2018 OSE Partial Changes in Contract Months Settings regarding Futures and Options Trading

 

The government of Japan has promulgated and enforced a decree that designates the day of the new Emperor's Accession to the Throne and the day of the Enthronement Ceremony as national holidays (Act No. 99 of 2018) and Osaka Exchange Inc. (hereinafter OSE) has announced that April 30, 2019, May 1 and 2, 2019, and October 22, 2019 shall be non-business days. Accordingly, the contract months settings regarding futures and options trading shall be partially changed as follows.

1 Nikkei 225 Options (Weekly Options)

Contract months Remarks
1st week May 2019 No contracts will be set.
1st week June 2019 The trade-starting day shall be Tue., May 7, 2019.
(last trading day ; Thu., June 6, 2019.)

* No new contracts will be set on Fri., March 29, 2019. Therefore from Fri., March 29, 2019 to Fri., April 26, 2019 only the three nearest weekly contracts will be available for trading.
* Eligible issues in Market Maker Program shall be unchanged.
(First and second weekly contracts. For example, on Wed., April 24, 2019, April 4W, 2019 and May 3W, 2019 are eligible issues.)

2 FTSE China 50 Index Futures

The day when the final settlement price shall be determined (SQ Day) for April 2019 Contracts(last trading day ; Fri., April 26, 2019) and the trade-starting day for December 2019 Contracts (last trading day ; Mon., December 30, 2019) shall be Tue., May 7, 2019.

3 Options on 10-year JGB futures

The last trading day for May 2019 Contracts shall be Fri., April 26, 2019 and the trade-starting day for July 2019 Contracts (last trading day ; Fri., June 28, 2019) shall be Tue., May 7, 2019.
