Dec. 24, 2021 OSETOCOM Derivatives Holiday Trading Days in 2022

 

Osaka Exchange, Inc. (OSE) and Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) are currently preparing to introduce derivatives holiday trading starting from September 2022 in perspective of further convenience for investors through provision of hedging opportunities during national holidays, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of Japan's derivatives markets.
We today announce the derivatives holiday trading days in 2022 as follows.

January 2 2023 (Mon.) (New Year Holidays) Not Opened
January 3 2023 (Tue.) (New Year Holidays) Opened
  • It will be subject to preparations (including approval by authorities for revision of our related business rules and system testing) going according to plan.
  • Including the schedule for the beginning of January 2023.
  • In principle, all current non-business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and January 1) will be eligible for holiday trading.
  • December 31 2022 is Saturday.
  • December 31 and January 2 will be excluded from the holiday trading scheme for the time being.
  • This handling will be the same for both OSE and TOCOM. Please be noted that JGB futures, options on JGB futures and securities options will not be eligible for holiday trading.
  • Derivatives holiday trading days in 2023 are scheduled to be announced in February 2022.
