Nov. 28, 2023 TOCOM Trayport System Now Available for TOCOM Off-Floor Trading

Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) is pleased to announce that an interface provided by Trayport Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Trayport), the primary network and data platform for European wholesale energy markets, will now be available as a designated system for finding counterparties for off-floor trading for electricity and LNG futures.

Traders can use this service, the J-Energy Window, to find counterparties for TOCOM electricity futures and LNG futures off-floor trading. Searches can even be made for combination trades such as spark-spreads or fiscal year contracts. The J-Energy Window also shares information between different contract participants on the screen in accordance with Article 10 of the Off-floor Transactions Detailed Rules, etc.

Members approved by TOCOM will provide their ID to use the J-Energy Window. Once a counterparty is found, the deal will be made by the members registering the off-floor trade.
J-Energy Window will enhance the convenience of off-floor trading by allowing multiple order types to suit the needs of our users.

・ Trayport is an electronic trading platform established in 1992. Its platform is widely used in European energy markets.
・ Trayport’s platform is specialized for the energy market, and can be easily customized according to various trading formats, such as market-based spreads and seasonal trading.
・ Downloading the Trayport application is not necessary for viewing, only an ID is required. This service can be accessed from any mobile device.
