Oct. 23, 2026 JPX JPX Group’s Initiatives Supporting the Government’s Promotion of Japan as a “Leading Asset Management Center”

JPX Group will continue to build a robust and reliable market infrastructure while advancing initiatives that support corporate growth and individual asset building. Leveraging the power of the market, we aim to foster a virtuous cycle among capital markets, companies, and households.

The virtuous cycle envisioned by establishing Japan as a leading asset management center

Overview of Key Initiatives

1. Maintaining Confidence in Japan’s Markets Enhancing security and resilience, strengthening BCP, and increasing system capacity
2. Supporting Corporate Growth Connecting companies and investors to enhance corporate value and promote the flow of growth capital
3. Supporting Individual Asset Building Broadening participation in the market and helping individuals take the first step from saving to investing

1. Maintaining Confidence in Japan’s Markets

With stable market operations as our foundation, we continue to enhance our capacity to meet growing trading demand in the future.

Strengthening Security and Resilience

We have established a 24/7 incident response framework and have promoted the implementation of multilayered defense measures designed to address a wide range of cyber threats.

In anticipation of the further escalation of cyber risks, we are reinforcing our defensive capabilities and enhancing our recovery readiness through initiatives such as improving the speed and sophistication of anomaly detection and impact assessment, as well as strengthening the protection of backup data and systems.

Strengthening Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

To ensure the continued operation of market functions even in the event of major disasters such as earthquakes, we have developed a resilient market infrastructure, including geographically remote backup facilities.

We are also working to enhance the effectiveness of our business continuity framework for maintaining and rapidly restoring market functions through close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including trading participants such as securities firms, as well as through ongoing and practical joint exercises and drills.

Enhancing Trading System Capacity

The daily order-processing capacity of arrowhead 4.0, our cash equity trading system, will be expanded from 830 million to 1.5 billion orders per day (scheduled for November 30, 2026).

This enhancement will enable us to maintain stable and reliable market operations even as trading demand continues to grow.

2. Supporting Corporate Growth

By connecting companies and investors, we help enhance corporate value and attract investment capital from Japan and around the world.

Promoting Initiatives to Enhance Corporate Value

We support listed companies in their efforts to enhance corporate value by encouraging initiatives aligned with the objectives of each market segment, including “Management That is Conscious of Cost of Capital and Stock Price” for companies listed on the Prime and Standard Markets, as well as initiatives aimed at achieving high growth on the Growth Market.

By providing information on investor expectations and examples of best practices among listed companies, we encourage companies to assess, develop, and implement initiatives tailored to their specific challenges and circumstances.

Supporting Effective Dialogue with Investors

We promote mutual understanding and support effective engagement between listed companies and institutional investors through initiatives such as dialogue forums and surveys conducted among both companies and investors.

In addition, to broaden opportunities for engagement, particularly with retail investors, we host the Nikkei-TSE IR Fair. The event provides listed companies with a platform to communicate their business strategies and growth prospects directly to investors, helping to deepen investor understanding and support informed long-term investment decisions.

Dedicated Team Support

Our dedicated support team engages directly with individual listed companies to help identify and address challenges related to corporate value enhancement, investor engagement, and information disclosure.

By providing tailored guidance, case studies, and relevant information based on each company's specific circumstances, we support the implementation of concrete measures for improvement.

3. Supporting Individual Asset Building

We are expanding opportunities for engagement and learning, broadening participation in the capital markets.

Fees and Incentive Programs

We will lower access fees for cash equity trading starting in March 2027. In addition, to support the further enhancement of services for retail investors provided by securities firms, information vendors, and other market participants, we will offer a reduction in fees for retail investor market data terminals from January through December 2027.

In derivatives markets, we implement incentive programs in a flexible and timely manner, taking into account product characteristics and market conditions.

Seminars and Events

Through seminars and events co-hosted or sponsored with securities companies, asset management companies, and other partners, we help a broad range of people, including first-time investors and younger age groups, deepen their understanding of investing and asset building and take the first step toward building their assets.

Investment and Asset-Building Education and Outreach

Through our web media platform, “TSE Manebu”, we provide articles and videos that explain the fundamentals of investing. We also deliver easy-to-understand information on asset building through the radio program “TSE Manebu Talk” and the book “Okane No Cho Bible” (Japanese only; “The Ultimate Money Guide”).

Education for Students and Working Adults

We provide ongoing educational programs for elementary, junior high, high school, and university students, as well as parent-child economic education programs and training courses for working adults. Tailored to each age group, these programs offer opportunities to learn about topics such as how corporations operate, the relationship between companies and the stock market, and the benefits of long-term, diversified investing.

Enhancing Access to Information

Through J-LENS, our listed company information search and analysis service, we make it easier to search, compare, and analyze information on listed companies, including disclosure materials, financial performance data, and stock price information.

By improving investors' access to information, we are also creating an environment in which listed companies can communicate their information more effectively to the market.

JPX Group will continue to promote initiatives that maintain and enhance market confidence while supporting corporate growth and household asset building.
