Jun. 30, 2026 JPXI Expanded Distribution Scope of the Securities Cross-Sector Data Platform and Release of Specifications

On February 12, 2026, JPX Market Innovation & Research, Inc. (JPXI) announced it had launched a study regarding an industry-wide common data platform to enhance securities operations . It was also made public that this review would proceed in collaboration with Japan Securities Finance Co., Ltd. (JSF) .

We are now pleased to announce that, with the cooperation of Japan Securities Depository Center, Inc. (JASDEC), we have decided to consider adding data held by JASDEC—such as record date information—to the scope of data being distributed.
As a “book-entry transfer institution” under the “Act on the Book-Entry Transfer of Corporate Bonds and Shares” (the Book-Entry Transfer Act), JASDEC operates a securities settlement infrastructure, focusing primarily on the book-entry transfer of securities subject to the act, such as listed shares and investment trusts. The company is responsible for operating the book-entry transfer system, handling rights, and providing notification and disclosure on various types of information.

JPXI, JSF, and JASDEC will work toward establishing a common data platform that aggregates the securities-related data held by each organization and provides it in a format suitable for automated processing.
We will also begin providing specification documents for the data subject to distribution as of today. Please note that regarding the launch period for the service and the availability of the beta environment, there have been no changes to the information announced by JPXI on February 12, 2026 (which stated that the beta environment is scheduled to be made available in early 2027, with the aim of launching the service around spring 2027).
