Mar. 21, 2025 JPXTSE Market Maker Awards FY2024 for the Carbon Credit Market
Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (“TSE”) has implemented the Market Maker Scheme targeted Energy saving J-Credits and Renewable energy (electricity) J-Credits for the carbon credit market since May 30th, 2024, and has designated four companies as market makers.
TSE are pleased to present awards to the following four market makers that have achieved standards for the awards to express our appreciation for their significant contributions. TSE presents this awards as a part of “FY2024 Green Transformation League Operation Project Fund (GX League Secretariat Operation and Environmental Improvement Project for Voluntary Emissions Trading by GX League Participating Companies),” a project commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and recommissioned to TSE by Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.
Market makers that have achieved standards with
both Energy saving J-Credits and Renewable energy (electricity) J-Credits:
Sumitomo Corporation, Mizuho Bank, Ltd.
Market makers that have achieved standards with Energy saving J-Credits:
Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd., Marubeni Corporation
TSE will contribute to the development of the carbon credit market along with the progress of government efforts toward carbon neutrality.
