About Gasoline Futures

Gasoline is a by product of crude oil, and is mainly used as an engine fuel in vehicles. Gasoline, kerosene and gas oil are produced not separately but in a series of refining process.
TOCOM Gasoline is the first gasoline futures market in Japan listed in July 1999. The standard product is gasoline of JIS K2202 Grade 2, and shall be delivered to the refineries or storage facilities with marine shipment facilities located in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba, designated by the Exchange.
