Beware of Investment Scams
We have become aware of numerous cases in which companies that are not financial instruments business operators (securities companies) solicit general investors to purchase or sell unlisted stocks, saying that the stocks are scheduled to be listed and the price will definitely rise on listing or that they will purchase unlisted stocks.
Some of these cases are thought to be malicious and fraudulent. You are advised to take extra precaution when deciding whether to purchase or sell unlisted stocks. If you have any suspicions, we recommend that you contact the issuer of the unlisted stocks to confirm the facts, or refrain from trading.
Please also be aware that some issuers themselves have committed fraud or solicited investment by pretending to be financial instruments business operators (securities companies), market makers, or other similar organizations.
