Commodity Futures Contracts (Cash Settlement) Settlement Method

Commodity Futures Contracts (Cash Settlement) Settlement Method

  • For the period up to the last trading day, the Commodity Futures Contracts (cash settlement) are settled through offsetting purchase or sale.
    * There will be a payment/receipt of the mark-to-market differences during the period from the trade execution to the settlement.
  • If no offsetting purchase or sale took place by the last trading day, the contracts are settled by a payment/receipt of the cash in the amount equal to the difference between the special quotation (SQ)* and the Settlement Price on the last trading day.
    * The special quotation (SQ) will be calculated based on the opening price of each product on the next day following the last trading day.
