In respect of the CDS Clearing Business provided by JSCC, with the participation of the current 7 member companies (6 Clearing Participants and 1 Participant by means of Clearing Brokerage) the outstanding balance of the borne obligation has gradually increased. Outstanding balance of obligation borne as of close of business September 20th, 2012 amounts to JPY188.5 Billion (one-sided base).

Under this circumstance, it has now been decided that as of September 21st, 2012, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. will enter into the CDS Clearing Brokerage Agreement with Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd. This will bring any CDS transactions (those CDS transactions eligible for clearing by JSCC) traded by The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. on and after the abovementioned date to be cleared through Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd.

Taking this occasion, JSCC will further focus to provide stable operation for CDS clearing business and to further endeavor to expand its business under close cooperation with all the relevant parties.
