Outstanding Balance of Cleared Interest Rate Swap Has Reached JPY 1 Trillion

The Japan Securities Clearing Corporation (JSCC) announced that by today, its outstanding balance of cleared IRS has reached JPY 1 Trillion (on a notional amount basis) over 4 days since its launch of IRS clearing business on 9 October 2012.
As at 15:30 today, the outstanding balance has amounted to JPY 1.36 Trillion, and the total number of outstanding trades, 161.
