Conducted the First Compression of CDS Transactions

JSCC hereby announces that a Compression of cleared CDS Transactions covering following 2 issues was conducted today:

This is the first Compression JSCC conducted.

As a result of today’s Compression, 28 transactions with total Notional Amount of JPY30 billion were terminated (26 full terminations and 2 partial terminations) (both on 1 side of leg), and 27% of cleared Notional Amount in respect of the covered issues was reduced.

JSCC will continue to strive for safe and efficient operation of Clearing Business, including continuous implementation of Compressions, to contribute to an improvement of convenience of market participants.
