Handling of Climate Transition Interest-bearing Government Bonds as Substitute Securities.

This is to notify that “Climate Transition Interest-bearing Government Bonds”, which Japanese Government plans to issue, are deemed as ”Japanese Government Bonds” prescribed as Substitute Securities in Listed Products Clearing Service, CDS Clearing Service and IRS Clearing Service (same haircut as other JGB applies).
 

As notified  on January 15, 2024, they are also handled as “Interest-bearing JGB” for Substitute Deposit in JGB OTC Transaction Clearing Services (same handling applies to collateral haircut). Please visit the following link for more detailed information.
