About Kerosene Futures

Kerosene is a by-product of crude oil. It is widely used for home heating in Japan with high quality standard of less than 80ppm sulfur contain. Gasoline, kerosene and gas oil are produced not separately but in a series of refining process.
TOCOM Kerosene is the first Kerosene Futures market in Japan listed in July 1999. The standard product is kerosene of JIS K2203 Grade 1, and shall be delivered to the refineries or storage facilities with marine shipment facilities located in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba, designated by the Exchange.
