TDnet

TDnet (Timely Disclosure Network) is a service that gathers timely disclosure releases of all listed companies, etc. throughout Japan and disseminates that information to investors and other users in real-time basis.
TSE provides following 2 TDnet distribution services. Both services are providing financial reporting information, “tanshin” in XBRL format, etc. which allow the subscribers to reduce a burden of data processing.
 
- TDnet Database Service (TDnet DBS): TDnet DBS allows subscribers to view timely disclosure information via the Internet. Subscribers are also able to search from varied angles the past five years of disclosure information.

-TDnet Server-Based Service: The TDnet Server-Based Service provides subscribers with real time data feed via dedicated communications lines.

-TDnet API Service: TDnet API Service via the Internet allows subscribers to receive disclosure information for the past five years by sending requests using API.

TDnet Database Service

The TDnet Database Service allows subscribers to view, save and print the information such as disclosed information of companies listed on all of Japan's stock exchanges and data from the Information Terrace section of TSE Arrows on PC via the Internet.

TDnet Server-Based Service

The TDnet Server-Based Service provides subscribers with disclosure information in real-time (at the time of disclosure) via dedicated communication lines set up between the TSE's data center and the data centers of subscribers. The TDnet Server-Based Services differs from other TDnet services in that it allows subscribers to store disclosure information automatically in their own receiving servers.

Redistribution of information to third parties

Subscribers can redistribute the information via TDnet Server-Based service.

Information Vendors Distributing the timely disclosure information via their own web site or products.
Distributing the listed company’s financial data in XBRL format
Financial institution Providing the timely disclosure information in online trading site
IR supporting company Supporting listed companies to develop the IR sites.

Use in trading operations

XBRL information and index information distributed in real-time can be fed into computers and used in online trading.

Fee and Application

If you use the TDnet Server-Based Service in any of the ways shown below, TSE will require to enter a Service Agreement (even if you do not obtain information directly from TSE, you will still be required to enter into an agreement as an indirect user).

  1. Connecting to the TDnet Server-Based Service directly.
  2. Redistributing timely disclosure information to other third parties.
  3. Receiving information (timely disclosure information, index information, XBRL information, etc.) via data feed within 20 minutes of timely disclosure from a vendor that has entered into a TDnet contract.
Initial cost 200,000JPY(per communication line, excluding tax)
Besides the above, you will also be expected to cover the cost of the software. If you obtain information from the service indirectly, you will not be required to cover the initial cost.
Monthly fee Information Fee :230,000JPY(per server, excluding tax)
Line maintenance Fee:10,000JPY(per line, excluding tax)
  • Communication line fee is not included in above fee. Please ask telecommunication carriers for the line fee.
  • If you obtain information from the information vendors, Line maintenance fee will not be charged.
Volume charge If you distribute data received through the TDnet Server-Based Service to third parties, a volume charge may apply. Please inquire for further details.

TDnet API Service

TDnet API Service is a direct distribution service that provides timely disclosure information of the nation’s listed companies etc. from TSE's information provision system via the Internet. Subscribers can acquire directly timely disclosure information for the past five years by sending requests, unlike TDnet Server-Based Services where installing dedicated communications lines are required. (Information can be acquired faster via TDnet Server-Based Services.)

Main Usage

Redistribution of information to third parties

The information acquired via TDnet API Service can be redistributed to third parties.

Usage of middle office and back office operations

For issues and disclosure information that require attention during operations, relevant disclosure information can be automatically acquired and accumulated. Continuous checks with TDnet and information terminals will not be necessary, thereby reducing operational load and risk.

Utilization of natural language processing

When analyzing timely disclosure information through natural language processing, etc., it is possible to easily get the information needed for analysis.

Utilization of trading business

XBRL and index information distributed in real time can be imported into your computer and utilized for the mechanical trading system.

Test Server

For verification purposes, the URL and access key of the test server are provided in the above Swagger specification, so please feel free to try it out. Please note the following points when verifying the APIs.


- You cannot execute the APIs on the above Swagger specification, so please execute it in your own environment. You can check the example request (Curl) in the Swagger specification, so please use it as a reference when generating commands.

- The responses of the test server for both "Index API" and "Document API" are dummy data.

- The dummy data of "Index API" is three stocks (code: 10000, 20000, 30000). On the production server, conditions can be specified by "code", "date of disclosure", and "correction/deletion flag", but on the test server, these conditions cannot be specified and the responses are always fixed.

- The dummy data of the "Document API" is one file. On the production server, conditions can be specified by "disclosure number" and "file type" (Full-text information PDF, Summary information PDF, XBRL-related file), but on the test server, these conditions cannot be specified and the responses are always fixed with "responseType" of "1" (fileData). The responses with "responseType" of "2" (fileURL) cannot be confirmed.

Usage Fee (excluding tax)

The usage fee consists of 2 components: Basic Fee and API Information Fee.

Basic Fee

JPY70,000

API Information Fee

Depending on the number of timely disclosure materials acquired during the month, charges will be incurred. If the user acquires up to 15,000 timely disclosure materials, the API Information Fee will be JPY240,000. For the acquisition of index information (table of contents information for timely disclosure information), the API Information Fee will not be charged (Please refer to the Service Guide for details).
