Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX) launched "J-Quants", a Proof of Concept (PoC) Project* in January 2021 to provide a learning platform for trading using IT and data analysis, and is now releasing an educational tool for the Stock Analysis Tutorial (*1), which is provided as part of the PoC, to SIGNATE Quest (*2).

Overview of this educational tool is as follows:

This educational tool enables users to learn about data analysis in Chapter 2 of the Stock Analysis Tutorial by using actual data in a hands-on format. Specifically, users can learn the entire process of data analysis, including the development of analytical models and evaluation, using different types of actual financial data following the challenges of the Fundamentals Analytical Challenge competition. This competition was held as part of the PoC from January to July 2021 and had approximately 1,500 participants. We have decided to release this educational content based on positive feedback we received from participants who expressed an interest in continuing their education.
We hope this educational tool will help different people feel more comfortable with financial and other types of data and develop an interest in investment using data analysis. We will continue to consider providing an environment that facilitates easy trading using IT and data analysis based on the results of this project.
