Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX) unveiled the newly redesigned TSE building east entrance poster on April 20.
This is the first redesign in approximately two and a half years since the last one carried out in conjunction with the market segment update.
This year is the inaugural year of the new NISA, and the Nikkei Stock Average has seen its highest price in 34 years. JPX has redesigned its east entrance to mark the dawn of a new era in Japan.
The image of the golden crow, which is considered auspicious in the Chinese mythology of the "sun bird," soaring to the right, represents hope for the further growth of the Japanese market.
May 10: Publication of Outline of "Addition of GX Credits to Trading on the Carbon Credit Market"
On May 10, Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) published an outline of rules regarding the addition of GX credits to the items eligible for trading on the Carbon Credit Market.
TSE has been entrusted with market operations of trading of GX credits by Nomura Research Institute, Ltd., which has been commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to carry out the operation of the GX League secretariat and development of frameworks to support voluntary emissions trading by companies participating in the GX League. These rules form part of these entrusted operations, in which TSE will provide a marketplace for trading of GX credits to participants in the Carbon Credit Market.
TSE is holding a public consultation on these rules until June 9. For more details, please view the following link.
May 20: JPXI launches its Scheduled Dates for Earnings Announcement Information Service
On May 20, JPX Market Innovation & Research, Inc. launched a data service that provides information in the form of CSV files on the scheduled dates for earnings announcements by listed companies, REITs, and infrastructure funds. This information is periodically reported to Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc.
We have provided Excel files free of charge on the "Scheduled Dates for Earnings Announcements” page of our website (with such files being available in Japanese only). The Excel files have been posted at the beginning of the month following the end of the corresponding fiscal period, and they have been updated as necessary thereafter. The files also have been separated based on the fiscal period dating systems of the relevant companies. The new service, however, provides more frequent updates (with latest information being provided every business day) and lists all fiscal periods in a single file, making it timelier and more convenient to use.
