In conjunction with the replacement of TDnet planned for December 2021, TSE started Proof of Concept (PoC) testing to enable qualitative information such as "Overview of Operating Results and Financial Position" and "Segment Information" mentioned in earnings reports and quarterly earnings reports of listed companies, as well as in earnings reports etc. of listed REITs that are not available in XBRL format, to be disclosed in HTML format in addition to the conventional PDF format, with the cooperation of PRONEXUS Inc. and TAKARA & COMPANY LTD. Participation in this PoC by listed companies and disclosure in HTML format are optional. Although it is still possible to make disclosures in just PDF and XBRL formats as before, we would appreciate your cooperation in this endeavor.
The "Practical Handbook for ESG Disclosure" which JPX and TSE released in March 2020 to support listed companies' voluntary disclosure of ESG-related information has been announced as an honouree of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) ISAR Honours. The ISAR Honours have been awarded every year since their inception in 2018, aiming to raise awareness and facilitate dissemination of national and international best practices on sustainability and SDG reporting.
Japan Exchange Group, Inc. has today launched the JPX ESG Knowledge Hub as part of its website (Japanese only). The JPX ESG Knowledge Hub aims to encourage listed companies' ESG information disclosure by providing a variety of ESG investment and sustainable finance-related information in one place. Contents include a "Practical Seminars for ESG Disclosure" online seminar series, examples of disclosure from other Japanese listed companies, introductions to the main ESG disclosure frameworks, information from institutional investors on their ESG investment, and introductions to the main ESG ratings agencies.
OSE and Thailand Futures Exchange Pcl (TFEX) signed an Agreement related to the launch of new rubber futures contracts at TFEX. Based on the Agreement, TFEX listed on November 30, 2020, cash-settled rubber futures contracts (name: Japanese Rubber Futures) which use the OSE RSS3 Futures contract delivery price as the final settlement price.
OSE, which lists futures with pricing recognized as an international benchmark for natural rubber and TFEX, which is the exchange in Thailand where it is a major natural rubber producing country will continue to promote mutual cooperation and aim to further improve the convenience and diversification of utilization of the rubber futures market.
