Apr. 13, 2016 TSE Analysis of Disclosure in “Basic Policy Regarding Selection of Accounting Standards” [Companies whose FYs ended on Dec. 31, 2015]

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. has released its analysis of disclosure in "Basic Policy Regarding Selection of Accounting Standards" for companies whose fiscal years ended between Mar. and Dec. 2015.

[Summary]
・128 companies are embracing IFRS (+16 since previous announcement). 74 have adopted IFRS (+6 since previous announcement); 32 have decided to adopt IFRS (+9 since previous announcement); and, 22 plan to adopt IFRS (+1 since previous announcement).
・The combined market capitalization of these 128 companies is JPY 140 trillion, 27% (+3% since previous announcement) of the entire listed market capitalization as of Mar. 31, 2016 (JPY 518 trillion).
・213 companies indicated that they are considering adopting IFRS (+19 since previous announcement)
