TSE Hall provides venue for ICGN education program

On July 16-18, 2019, Japan Exchange Group/Tokyo Stock Exchange and the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) held the ICGN Annual Conference 2019 in Tokyo. Following on from this, the “ICGN Stewardship and Sustainability Program”, an education program for investors and corporates, was held at TSE Hall on the 19th, with a theme of “Integrating ESG factors in investment decisions”. Attendees included representatives from asset managers, asset owners, corporates and others.

We heard from four expert speakers, including ICGN Policy Director George Dallas and other ESG investment professionals, who gave valuable insights into topics such as stewardship and sustainability theory, how to conduct an ESG analysis of a company, and real examples of stewardship in practice.
