Oct. 28: CONNEQTOR Wins Outstanding Project Awards at PM Awards 2022

The CONNEQTOR project, TSE's electronic platform for ETFs, received three awards at the PM Awards 2022: "Excellent Project Award," "Special Award NISSAY IT Academy Award" and "Special Award JISA Digital Transformation (DX) Award." We believe that this honor is a result of CONNEQTOR's continuous endeavors, which focus on the latest and highest-priority requests from users and quickly provide improved services, sparing no effort to promote process-innovation in existing businesses. This project aims to achieve "ETFs, faster and better price," and will continue to further improve the efficiency and convenience of the ETF market and to contribute to the creation of a better market environment.

Oct.31: Calculation and Publication of New Index "Kyodai-Kawakita/JPX Japan Index"

Kyoto University and JPX Market Innovation & Research, Inc. have jointly announced the development of a new"Kyodai-Kawakita/JPX Japan Index" for long-term investors, the calculation of which will begin from January 30, 2023.
This index is based on formulations by Professor Emeritus Dr. Hidetaka Kawakita of Kyoto University, who has conducted research based on theory and practices for securities investments for many years. This index is calculated based on knowledge acquired through joint research between the Collaborative Research Chair for Securities Investment at the Graduate School of Management of Kyoto University and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. since July 2018.

Nov. 7: Japan Exchange Group and JETRO Sign Memorandum of Understanding and Hold International Economic Forum

On November 7, 2022, Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) signed a memorandum of understanding to work together to support activities related to providing information and promoting international collaboration and investment into Japan. As the first initiative based on this MOU, JPX and JETRO jointly hosted an international economic forum titled the "Japan-Southeast Asia Market Forum" in Singapore on November 15, 2022. Henceforth, JPX and JETRO will work together to contribute to improving corporate value through support for cross-border collaboration between domestic and overseas companies, and to support foreign companies' investments in Japan and fundraising for business expansion into Japan.

Nov. 15: Tokyo Stock Exchange Participates in ETF Industry Summit Hosted by the New York Stock Exchange

On November 14, 2022, a representative from Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) spoke at the "ETF Industry Summit" hosted by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., and gave a presentation about ETF market trends in Japan and TSE's related activities. Japan Exchange Group (JPX) and TSE are working to expand the ETF market as part of their initiatives for "facilitation of the cycle of corporate innovation/growth and asset formation" as set out in the Medium-Term Management Plan 2024. Through our collaboration with NYSE, JPX and TSE will continue to push forward with these efforts and contribute to further development of the capital markets in both Japan and the U.S.
