Apr. 15, 2020 TSE Publication of "Corporate Year-End Closing of Accounts, Auditing and Shareholders meeting in Response to the Increasing Impact of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)"

 

Today, Financial Services Agency's "Networking Group on the corporate disclosure, financial reporting and audit of listed companies in Consideration of the Impact of the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Infection" has published "Corporate Year-End Closing of Accounts, Auditing and Shareholders meeting in Response to the Increasing Impact of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)."

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. has notified the listed companies as follows in response to the announcement of Corporate Year-End Closing of Accounts, Auditing and Shareholders meeting in Response to the Increasing Impact of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus)" as above.

As referred to in this announcement,"companies and auditing firms need to prepare financial results and implement audits while considering to ensure safety of employees and those who engage in audit, as well as assuming the irregular schedule of these operations" and in addition, companies with a fiscal year ended in March are required to take the points shown in the announcement into account to operate an annual general meeting of shareholders （AGM）which is usually held at the end of June"
