Request regarding “Basic Fees”

Comments

The basic fees for a futures, etc. trading participant shall be JPY 600,000 (in the case where a participant did not place an order in JGB futures or index futures contracts in the previous month, OSE shall deduct JPY 200,000 from the basic fee for the current month). This would result to an increase in fees for participants that only trade index futures/options on either the OSE or TSE market. We request for more detailed fee schedules that are designed to maintain the basic fees for such participants.

OSE Response

Basic fees are set from the viewpoint of being charges to trading participants for basic services granted according to each category of index futures/options and JGB futures/options trading. After the integration of derivatives markets, OSE will offer all index futures/options under a single category. In addition, it is anticipated that new index futures and other contracts may be listed. Therefore, OSE will not differentiate between the basic fees of participants who had traded on either the OSE or TSE market before the integration of derivatives markets. OSE ask for your kind understanding and cooperation on this matter.
