Results of "Availability of English Disclosure Information by Listed Companies" Survey for FY2021 - 88.9% English disclosure among companies selecting Prime - Since 2019, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) has been conducting surveys on the availability of English disclosure information by listed companies and providing a list of the results through its website to a wide range of people including overseas investors. By doing this, TSE aims to understand the situation with regards to listed company English disclosure and promote it further, thereby enhancing convenience for overseas investors and allowing them to make appropriate investment decisions based on information disclosed by listed companies. Measures for Smooth Implementation of Roman Alphabet Characters in Securities Codes To address a decrease in available specific name codes assigned to general companies (4-digit numbers from [1300] to [9999]), the Securities Identification Code Committee (SICC) (*1) has announced a basic plan for the use of Roman alphabet characters in the specific name codes when the available codes run out. However, based on the recent decrease in remaining name codes, the SICC announced that with the purpose of facilitating the smooth implementation of the use of Roman alphabet characters in the securities codes, Roman alphabet characters will be used from 1 January 2024, regardless of whether the available codes run out. 1 NRI's Order Management System Directly Connected to TSE CONNEQTOR - Contributing to Reduction of Trading Costs through Vitalization of ETF Market - Tokyo, September 5, 2022–Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI), a leading provider of consulting services and system solutions, and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) have agreed to directly connect NRI’s order management system to TSE's electronic platform for ETFs, CONNEQTOR. NRI provides asset management companies with SmartBridge Advance (SBA)1, an order management system for securities (OMS), which will be the first OMS directly connected to CONNEQTOR. This direct connection will enable asset management traders to automatically transmit the order data input into SBA to CONNEQTOR and immediately and reliably execute trades with market makers around the world on CONNEQTOR2 .
