Regulations concerning the Securities Code and the Sector

Listed companies are assigned sectors based on unified criteria, regardless whether an issue is listed on a securities exchange or the Green Sheet market. When a stock is listed for the first time, during the process of listing and such other examinations by the individual markets, the sector to which the stock belongs to is also determined. The SICC examines whether the decision on the sector of a new issue has been reached in compliance with the unified criteria.

Examination regarding changes in sector classification after listing is conducted regularly by the individual markets based on securities reports. Issues that fall under the criteria of changes in sector classification will be announced and sector changes will be performed by the SICC.
